De la huella digital a la inteligencia artificial sostenible
Ciclo IA Sostenible
Cambios en "IA de Km0"
Descripción (English)
-
-
Did you know that not all AI is created by large corporations or relies on extractivist systems? In this session, we will learn about an inspiring project that advocates for autonomous, sovereign AI managed by the communities themselves. Using open and local models, without data centers or polluting infrastructure, this initiative provides an example of how to reclaim technology with responsibility and social justice.
There will be three project presentations and a subsequent debate with a Q&A session. The projects that will be presented are:
- The Agregore browser, which includes components for using LLMs locally. Presented by Mauve (Canada). Online.
- Presentation of the collective Te Hiku (New Zealand), which develops Maori speech models, by Miles Thompson. Online.
- Doctoral project from UPC on machine learning in IoT nodes by Nil Llisterri and Felix Freitag. In person.
