Els/les assistents a la trobada es van sorprendre en escoltar els detalls tècnics d'aquest centre religiós que va compartir l'actual arquitecte que n'està al càrrec</p><p>Durant la sessió es va comentar que la parròquia, inaugurada el 1963, va ser dels últims elements del projecte d’urbanització del Congrés, elaborat pels arquitectes Josep Soteras Mauri, Antoni Pineda i Carles Marquès, que es va construir. La fotografia mostra un solar envoltat d'habitatges on posteriorment va construir-s'hi la parròquia Sant Pius X. La participant d'edat més avançada va comentar que «va ser un gran canvi mudar-se del barri del Born al nou barri del Congrés, ja que estava molt més ventilat i era més higiènic. Al Born hi havia pisos on es compartien latrines entre pisos de la mateixa planta i aquí cada pis tenia el seu propi bany...». Some participants expressed astonishment to hear from the architect in charge of the parish about the construction details of this religious center.</p><p>During the session it was recalled that the parish church, inaugurated in 1963, was one of the last elements to be built in the Congrés urbanization project drawn up by the architects Josep Soteras Mauri, Antoni Pineda and Carles Marquès. The empty lot that can be seen in the photograph shows the lot surrounded by houses where the San Pío X parish church was later built. The photograph made it easier for the participants to remember their arrival in the neighborhood. The older participant recalled that “it was a big change to move from living in the Born neighborhood to the newly built Congrés neighborhood, as it was much more airy and hygienic. In the Born there were apartments where there were shared latrines between apartments on the same floor and here each apartment had its own bathroom...”. El solar vacío que se puede ver en la fotografía muestra el solar rodeado de viviendas donde posteriormente se construyó la parroquia San Pío X. La fotografía facilitó que los/las recordaran su llegada al barrio. La participante de edad más avanzada recuerda que «fue un gran cambio pasar de vivir del barrio del Born al barrio del Congrés recién construido, ya que estaba mucho más ventilado y era más higiénico. En el Born había pisos donde había letrinas compartidas entre pisos de la misma planta y aquí cada piso tenía su propio baño...».
