Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone is a powerful documentary that invites us to look beyond the headlines and listen to the voices that are often silenced amid the conflict. Through the eyes of four young people – a boy who lives in a tent after losing his home, a girl who creates cooking videos on TikTok as a way of escape, an adolescent who helps in a hospital, and a young mother who gives birth in the middle of the war – the film shows the daily reality in the Gaza Strip.
With an observational and intimate narrative, the film is a vivid, emotional, and honest testimony of human resilience, giving space to emotions, silences, and small survival gestures, moving away from the conventional war narrative. It is also a reflection on the role of the media in times of war: who tells the story, how it is told, and what is left out of the frame. An essential story to understand the human dimension of a conflict that is often dehumanized.
