Open-source software allows us to work with technologies that belong to everybody, which are improved thanks to collective and free contributions. In the case of the gaming industry, various initiatives have chosen FLOSS (Free/Libre and Open Source Software) to create and develop their projects.

In this conference, developer Ramon Santamaria addresses the implementation of open source technologies regarding the creation of professional video games: design tools, graphics, and development engines. Santamaria also reviews the different licenses that exist, which will show us that making video games with open-source software is more than possible.
