VinclesBCN Face-To-Face Meetings

The latest reports say that in Catalonia there are a total of 786,000 people living alone, of which 42.2% are sixty-five or older. But living alone should not be synonymous with feeling lonely: how can we break the isolation circle? VinclesBCN is a service of Barcelona City Council aimed at the elderly that deals with the feeling of unwanted loneliness through new technologies.

VinclesBCN aims to strengthen the social relationships that people already have and create new ones thanks to an application installed on a mobile device or tablet. To facilitate learning and devirtualize the people who are part of it, the Vincles community begins its meetings at the Canòdrom. A step closer to mitigate the effects of unwanted loneliness through physical and virtual bonds.
