As part of the Tardor Solidària (Solidarity Autumn) program in the Sant Andreu District, we aim to create a space for dialogue that connects past and present, reflecting on how the neighborhood has welcomed various waves of migration and how these dynamics evolve with new technologies.
We will share intergenerational experiences and stories: Mercè Garcés Fernández (Ateneu Memòria Popular) and Maria Janet Gallardo, local residents, will recall what it was like to exercise the right to migrate in the early days of Congrés – Indians, the obstacles they encountered on their migratory journeys, and how they built forms of collective resistance. Paula Cáceres from the Algorace collective will bring us to the present day, showing how technology currently affects the rights of migrants—from biometric control to digital barriers—and how we can strengthen a critical and anti-racist perspective on artificial intelligence.
If you need sign language interpretation, please contact us at programacio@canodrom.barcelona before October 15th after completing your registration form.
Organized by: Canòdrom and the Sant Andreu District.
