How are community networks managed? How can we make them more accessible and secure? Pirania is a free software tool that allows you to manage who connects through vouchers, and it runs on Libremesh, a firmware for mesh networks.
In January, there will be a hackathon in Brazil to develop a new version of Pirania. On January 23, the last day of the event, we will connect from Canòdrom to test the software on our experimental network. An opportunity to work remotely with the international free networks community and see collaborative development in action.
Who is it for? People with knowledge of router firmware development (OpenWrt/Libremesh systems) or those eager to learn and tinker with code.
Organized by: Digicòria, a collaborating project at Canòdrom.
