How do we use artificial intelligence in cultural projects? What are the ethical implications? And what open-source tools are available to us? This series combines critical thinking, situated conversations, and hands-on learning around generative AI applied to different areas of digital creation.
First session: AI and Ethics (January 9, morning)
We open the series with Taller Estampa, which will provide a historical review of artificial intelligence from a critical thinking perspective. This will be followed by a four-way roundtable on AI and ethics: potential, risks, challenges, and opportunities. The goal? To publish a collective manifesto on generative AI and cultural rights, inspired by initiatives such as the Arte es Ética Manifesto.
Sessions 2 to 6: For cultural managers and coordinators
10:00 – 11:30 a.m.: Contextualized TED Talk on each area (text, image, video, sound, post-production)
12:00 – 2:00 p.m.: Conversation between two invited profiles: a humanist and a technologist, discussing the role of AI in culture.
4:00 – 7:00 p.m. (for technical and creative profiles): Hands-on training workshops where we will learn to use open-source tools applied to digital creation. We will work in a testing environment specifically prepared to experiment without fear.
Organized by: BitLab, a collaborative project at Canòdrom.
