Create your visual novel

Do you want to create your own visual novel from scratch? In this course, you will learn to make narrative, interactive video games with a unique style. You will design bold characters, write dialogue, compose music, draw scenes, and build a story that is truly yours.

But not just any story! This course is part of a doctoral research project by the UOC’s GAME group, focused on raising awareness about stereotypes. During the sessions, we will explore how visual novels can challenge discrimination and envision fairer future societies. The goal is for your work to have a real impact and raise awareness among those who play it.

By the end of the course, you will have published your first visual novel and learned how to create interactive narratives that educate about the most prevalent forms of discrimination today—all without needing to be a programmer or an artist.
