Changes at "Conversations of Memory in Motion"

Description (English)

  • -

A conversation space to explore how stories of mobility and migration are part of Barcelona’s collective memory. Drawing on different experiences linked to art, communication, citizen participation, and social innovation, the gathering will address who tells these stories, how we preserve them, and what role they play in building a diverse city.

An invitation to broaden our view of migration—from countryside to city, between territories and between countries, one’s own or inherited—and to ask ourselves: who builds a city’s memory, and which stories do we choose to preserve?

    Participants:

Ali González-Garcia, migrant. Expert in digital transformation in governments. Member of the coordination committee of Decidim; Innovation Advisor to the Monterrey City Council and co-creator of “Primer Paso” an app for guidance through the regularization process and the generation of vulnerability certificates.

Silvina Merino, Migrant Microhistories Project, promoted by the La Quinta Pata Cultural Association and funded by the Barcelona City Council.

Angélica Dass, artistic coordinator of the Migrant Migrant Museum.

    Moderator:

Sàgar Malè, specialist in development cooperation, human rights, and social communication, with extensive international experience in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. A communicator, screenwriter, and documentary filmmaker, he brings a perspective committed to people, territories, and their stories.

Organized by: Angélica Dass, Brazilian photographer, and Cidalia

In collaboration with: Department of Human Rights, Directorate of Education, and Department of Interculturality of the Barcelona City Council, Sant Andreu District and Canòdrom.
