Hacking Decidim: customisation and development with Ruby on Rails

Would you like to discover how Decidim works from the inside and learn how to modify it? In this hands-on session, we will explore how to customise and experiment with Decidim once it has been installed, using Ruby on Rails.

The workshop is aimed at both those taking their first steps in Decidim development and those who already code and want to delve deeper into its architecture and customisation possibilities.

During the session, we will combine guided learning with hands-on exploration: you can follow a step-by-step guide to work independently or take part in live mentoring, adapting the pace to your level. Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is not essential, although a basic understanding of CSS or a programming language is helpful. This will help you get the most out of the experience.

This activity is organised in collaboration with FemCoders Club, with the aim of making civic technology development more accessible to more people and opening up pathways to mentorship and professionalisation within the Decidim ecosystem.
