There is no single way of doing technology. Nor should there be. This session is part of the programme «Bodies, Data, Territories. Transhackfeminisms and Ancestral Intelligences», held on May 18 and 19 at the Universitat de Girona. It constitutes the third and final session, under the title «Transhackfeminist Dialogues for Other Technological Imaginaries», and is conceived as a closing space structured around two dialogues focused on critical perspectives on artificial intelligence and algorithmic power. From transhackfeminist perspectives and ancestral knowledges, it seeks to challenge dominant technological imaginaries and open up more just and livable scenarios.
We will rethink the idea that technology is a single thing, a single logic, a single future. Feminisms are producing critical contributions that imagine other ways: technologies that are more just, more livable, more diverse. An international gathering on digital feminist activism in Latin America to share, to learn from one another, and to expand what we understand as possible. Moderated by Guiomar Rovira Sancho within the framework of her project «Digital Activism in Latin America: From the Internet to the Critique of Artificial Intelligence».
