Gemma Barricarte
Gemma Barricarte is an architect, artist and researcher. She has been an artist in residence at Medialab Matadero (Madrid) and at the Huarte Contemporary Art Centre (Pamplona) with the project ‘Fossiltopia’. She is also a researcher at the CSIC Institute of History, where she explores the relationships between architecture, energy, affection and politics in the current context of socio-ecological crisis.

Chilean artist, activist and researcher. Her work is focused on intimacy, bodies and their relationship with technology. After more than 10 years developing artistic projects with communities such as indigenous peoples living in isolated areas of Chile, young people deprived of their liberty, children in protective custody, and women who have experienced violence, Rayén co-founded Radical Data to explore the potential of technology as a tool for connection, care, and intimacy.

Uriel Fogué
Ph.D. in Architecture, won the UPM Special Prize in 2015 and was a finalist at the 10th BIAU in 2016. He is a professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Columbia University. He was also a visiting professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
He co-directs the architecture studio elii, which was part of the Spanish Pavilion at the 18th and 15th Venice Architecture Biennials (the latter won the Golden Lion in 2016). Among other international accolades, two of his works have been shortlisted for the Mies van der Rohe European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture (2015, 2019). His work Infinito Delicias won the Gold Award of the 2023 Holcim Awards (along with Husos and Ultrazul, promoted by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation). His work Yojigen Poketto was selected as one of the twenty visionary domestic spaces of the last hundred years in the exhibition Home Stories. 100 Years, 20 Visionary Interiors, at the Vitra Design Museum (2020). He is the co-founder of the Gabinete de Crisis de Ficciones Políticas (Political Fiction Crisis Cabinet).
He is the author of the book Las arquitecturas del fin del mundo (Puente Editores, 2022), which won an award at the 16th BEAU 2023 and was a finalist for the 2023 FAD Awards for Thought and Criticism. He is also the co-author of Super Petites Maisons (EPFL, 2022) and What is Home Without a Mother (HIAP - Matadero Madrid, 2015), which won an award at the XIII BEAU 2015.
