Changes at "Presentation of the Proposal for the City Pact for Digital Rights and Democratic Technologies"

Avatar: Mar Escarrabill Mar Escarrabill

Description (English)

  • -

The City Pact for Digital Rights and Democratic Technologies is born with a clear mission: to ensure that digitalization in Barcelona is fair, equitable, and sustainable. For this reason, we invite you to the presentation of the Pact’s proposal to discuss its commitments with all key stakeholders in the city’s digitalization and to finalize its form.

This agreement aims to become a vibrant space for debate, dialogue, and collaboration among individuals, communities, organizations, and institutions, addressing how public policies and the digital environment interact and impact our city. Its drafting is the result of working sessions among entities that have been advocating for digital rights and open technologies for years, driven by the Directorate of Participation and Democratic Innovation Services of the Barcelona City Council.

Soon, we will share more information about the Pact so you can review it before the meeting.

Organized by: Directorate of Participation and Democratic Innovation Services and the Canòdrom Technical Office.

The presentation will mark the beginning of a deliberation process, both online (through the Decidim platform) and in-person, open to all citizens. This process will take place throughout the winter of 2026 with the goal of collectively building the future agreement.

Organized by: Directorate of Participation and Democratic Innovation Services and the Canòdrom Technical Office.
