This experiential workshop by Lucha y Siesta is a one-hour practical and participatory laboratory titled “The Transfeminist City. Space. Bodies. Desires.”
The laboratory offers a space for collective reflection and action around the concept of the transfeminist city. It continues the work promoted for years by the Casa delle Donne Lucha y Siesta, enriched through exchange with the Feminist Urbanism Collective Punt 6 from Barcelona and developed together with researcher Marta Gayoso from Madrid within the module dedicated to this topic in the Master’s in Gender Studies at Roma Tre University. The proposal explores the intertwining between the idea of space and the urban relational fabric from a transfeminist standpoint.
Participants will be guided through a mapping of bodies, collectively imagining desires capable of redesigning the city as a space of relation, resistance, and self-determination. It is an open and participatory experience, aimed at anyone willing to contribute their perspective, without the need for specific or artistic skills, only the willingness to explore and build collectively.
Organised by: Elena Silvestrini, Lucha y Siesta and Canòdrom.
