Introduction
This spring, The Open Stands will host the Docs Hedy Lamarr Documentary Film Cycle 2025, a space where cinema, technology, and feminism come together to tell stories of resistance and struggle. In this fifth edition, we will see how young people in Gaza fight to survive the war, how cyberfeminism challenges digital violence, and reflect on the implications of digital immortality.
Details
Docs Hedy Lamarr focuses on how technology can be a tool of resistance and a space to rethink human rights in the digital context. With a strong presence of female directors, each screening will be followed by a brief discussion to contextualize and debate the social and ethical issues raised by these films, imagining a more just and inclusive digital future.
