RRReparem el futur

#RRReparemElFutur Digital infrastructures, architecture and care for the spaces we inhabit

19 Feb - 30 Oct @ Canòdrom

Program

Introduction

A series of talks, walks and workshops to explore the visible and invisible infrastructures of the city. We ask ourselves how our streets connect with the digital networks that cross them and how we can repair the spaces we inhabit.

1️⃣ What lies beneath the tiles of our city?
2️⃣ Who decides how digital and physical infrastructures are built?
3️⃣ How does the climate crisis affect the way we inhabit?
4️⃣ What if instead of always building more, we repaired what we already have?
5️⃣ Can we make digital space a common good? We'll do it through practice, with walks, conversations, DIY prototypes and free software. To discover what lies beneath the tiles of our city and beyond our screens.

Details

We live surrounded by infrastructures we don't see. Underground cables, rooftop antennas, servers in industrial estates, algorithms that decide what appears on our phones. All these networks condition how we move, how we communicate and how we inhabit the city. What if instead of always building more, we stopped to repair what we already have? What would a city that cares for and maintains itself look like, instead of expanding without limits? What if digital space were also a common good to be preserved?

Within the framework of Barcelona's Architecture Capital 2026, this series proposes to look at the city in a different way. We'll explore how streets connect with the digital infrastructures that cross them. We'll talk about open source code, climate crisis and who decides how the city is built, both physical and digital.
